Spoustová, Ivana ; Elischer, David (referee)
The dissertation thesis "Relationship of parents to minors with regard to the specifics of domestic violence" focuses in particular on judicial proceedings in cases of custody of minors where family relationships are affected by domestic violence. It attempts to explain why it is necessary for the courts to take into account this fact and to adopt such measures within their decisions to provide sufficient protection to persons at risk and at the same time to stop violent behaviour. Domestic violence as a dangerous social phenomenon is described in detail; information on its individual appearances and forms is brought; briefly mentioned are also other scientific disciplines whose knowledge is important not only for the recourse of offenders and the protection of victims but also for creation of a strategy of effective prevention. Negative impacts on mental state of minors are stressed, who must be viewed in all cases of domestic violence as its victims, i.e. also when the violent behaviour is not immediately directed against them. The thesis brings interpretation of the current legislation with reference to the most important changes in the legislation in the last decade. Help Intervention Center Vysočina Region - Socio-legal Aspects of Social Service Provision
SVOBODOVÁ, Vendula
The main objective of the thesis was to map possibilities of a co-operation among the intervention centre and other entities interested in helping to people threatened by the domestic violence. The current status was taken from the professional literature. There is described an issue of the domestic violence, types and forms of the domestic violence, its characteristics and dynamics, causes, consequences, legal framework of the domestic violence, its actors, entities helping to people threatened by the domestic violence and an interdisciplinary co-operation. The qualitative research was used in the thesis. A tool for the data collection was a semi-standardized interview. Questions were based on theme ranges concerning the examined issue. The research sample consisted of 13 workers of the entities helping to people at risk of the domestic violence in the Highland (Vysočina) region. The research showed that the domestic violence is a very wide-spread and still underestimated issue. At the same time it is seen a considerable progress in the area of the help to people at risk by the domestic violence. Further the research showed that workers do not exactly know services provided by the Intervention Centre of the Highland (Vysočina) region. Thanks to this fact there can occur a disinformation of people threatened by the domestic violence. The staff can determine the most often demanded help from the side of the potential service users. They can also recognize that not always it is about the help the intervention centre is able to provide. The research does not confirm that the personnel generally would be influenced by prejudices at their work with people at risk by the domestic violence. But they were certainly also in their professional life influenced by a personal experience with the domestic violence that acquired in their neighbourhood. The research raised a possibility of a co-operation among the intervention centre and other entities, namely organizing case conferences. This thesis can be used in practice for an acquisition or addition of professional experience related to the issue of the domestic violence and available provided services.

FARKAŠOVÁ, Monika
Protection of a Person Suffering from Domestic Violence The bachelor{\crq}s thesis addresses protection of persons suffering from domestic violence with regard to the operation of Act No. 135/2006 of the Collection of Laws of the Czech Republic (Coll.). The theoretical part is divided into five parts. The first part characterizes domestic violence and describes its specific features and impacts on a person at risk. The second part addresses international protection of human rights. The third part is focused on the legislation in the Czech Republic. The fourth part characterizes individual kinds of help in cases of domestic violence. The last part contains data on the implemented researches and statistics. The objective of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis was to evaluate legal opportunities of protection of a person at risk and, among others, to compare the opportunities existing before and after Act No. 135/2006 Coll. came into operation, to evaluate practical utilization of the legal opportunities of protection from domestic violence from the view of both persons at risk and experts in the domestic violence issue, and to raise hypotheses on the basis of the research. The research was made by the qualitative method, in the form of a semi-structured interview. Eight respondents were selected from persons at risk (four from an intervention centre and four from a refuge) and from experts (four in total). The bachelor{\crq}s thesis has fulfilled the set objectives stated in chapters ``Results{\crq}q and ``Discussion{\crq}q. Hypotheses that can be verified by future quantitative research have been raised. On the basis of the research, I recommend focusing on the issue of cross-disciplinary cooperation in the future. New findings have been revealed, among others missing legislative measures regulating the contact between a child and the expelled parent.
